Terms, conditions & privacy policy…
1. Bookings & Cancellations
All bookings must be confirmed in advance via phone or email.
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full. Please call us if you wish to cancel.
Regular bookings can be paused or rescheduled with prior agreement.
2. Payment
Payment is due in advance or on the day of the service, unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, cash, or other methods agreed upon during onboarding.
Late payments may result in a pause in services until the balance is cleared.
3. Dog Health & Behaviour
Dogs must be fit, healthy, and fully vaccinated (unless otherwise discussed and agreed).
Dogs must be up to date on flea, tick, and worming treatments.
Owners must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural issues — especially aggression, anxiety, or reactivity.
We are happy to walk reactive dogs; however, as every dog is unique, we may ask that your dog wears a muzzle for safety, or recommend a trial period to better assess their needs. For the well-being of everyone involved, we also reserve the right to decline if we feel the risk is too great.
4. Leads & Off-Lead Consent
Dogs will be walked on-lead unless the owner provides written consent for off-lead exercise. “On-lead” includes the use of a standard-length lead attached to a collar or harness, and/or an 8m retractable lead.
Off-lead walking is at the discretion of the walker and only in safe, appropriate environments.
5. Safety & Emergency Care
Each dog must be provided with a secure, well-fitted collar and a clearly visible ID tag. A suitable lead is also required, and if your dog uses a harness, it must be properly fitted and in good condition. These are essential for the safety of your dog during walks and to ensure they can be easily identified in case of an emergency.
In the event of an emergency, we will contact you immediately. If we are unable to reach you, we reserve the right to act in your dog’s best interests, which may include seeking veterinary care. Wherever possible, we will take your dog to their own registered vet; however, if this information is not readily available, we will use our local practice, Two Counties Vets in Bessacarr.
All emergency costs will be the responsibility of the owner.
6. Keys & Access
Keys or access codes provided to Hounds of Blaxtonville will be stored securely and never labelled with identifying information.
If access arrangements change, please inform us as soon as possible.
7. Weather Conditions
Walks will go ahead in most weather conditions. In extreme heat, cold, or storms, walks may be shortened or replaced with indoor visits for safety.
You will be notified of any changes due to weather.
8. Photos & Social Media
With your permission, we may take photos of your dog during walks to share on our website or social media. No personal information will ever be shared.
9. Liability
Hounds of Blaxtonville is fully insured for public liability, care, custody & control of animals.
We cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss, or illness that may occur outside of our control.
By using our services, you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions.
If you have any questions, please contact us to discuss.
